It’s a crazy fun week of dancing coming up and we need dancers to come to the party…do you want to play? Here’s what happening over the next weeks..
Tuesday 5th of June – JUNE IS FOR JAZZ – Specialty Class at Mermaid Beach Bowls Club – Jazz with Amanda DB …. Tuesday Specialty Class for June is Jazz with Miss Amanda DB.. Our favourite Cabaret Choreographer and all round talented Chick is BACK!! Amanda will start us off with the Jazz Basics and to make it a fun fare she has set the first weeks theme as 80’s Lycra Jazz so BUST OUT your Pink Tights, Leg warmers and Leotards and don’t forget the all important head and wrist sweat bands!!
Each week, Amanda will transition us through the iconic moves of the Jazz era which will obviously help us all enormously with our Swing dancing and solo improvisations…
Tuesday nights from 7pm to 8pm then social dancing – $15pp…

Wednesday 6th of June – Lindy Hop Classes at the Bangalow Bowlo – No Change
Thursday 7th of June – Lindy Hop Gold Coast – This week Kam Davis from Empire Swing with be our guest teacher and taking this weeks class. A super talented dancer who owns and runs the largest swing dance school in Brisbane… Lots to share and you will have a blast. (Ray and I will be hosting Miss Cooly Rocks On that night)

Thursday night we are hosting Miss Cooly Rocks on At Tweed Civic Centre _ FREE but no dancing – FB EVENT HERE – Our Miss Charlotte from SOI Gold Coast Class is one of the finalists competing on this night along with our lovely Miss Christina from our SOI Bangalow Class so its going to be a great show for sure if you want to come along and support the girls please do..
– 10.30am – Warner Street Stage – We are playing music and hosting the Hokey Pokey & Pop Up Flashmob Dance and are looking for dancers if you want to come and play.. – Meet behind the Warner Street Stage at 10.15am and wear something bright!
– Ray and I are Hosting Miss Rockabilly Comp at Coolangatta Sands Hotel then heading straight over at 8.30pm to South Tweed Bowls Club for our favourite band Lucky Seven Swing Band from Adelaide at Gotta Swings Swing Ball- This will be great.. FB event here
Our swing dance flashmob last year was so much fun, and entertaining to the unsuspecting crowds and they loved it so much we have been asked to come back again to POP UP and surprise audiences at Cooly Rocks On
All of you are invited.. Anyone can dance and the element of surprise is what we will be aiming for .
Meeting behind the Warner Street Stage at Cooly Rocks On at 12Noon to prep and then we pop up at 12.30pm and dance til 2.30pm – roving..
Just Social Dancing – so no need to learn any routines, just grab a gal and dance away.
Be prepared for different surfaces, road base, stage, always and tiles, elevators and more
As we like to stand out, it would be great (Not mandatory) to wear loud and proud colour, either in your clothing or hair adornment etc so we are seen….
