Waxing Lyric for the past 30 years, Swing-A-Billy Ray Keepence is a DJ Entertainer & emcee who knows how to make your event scream success. Whether he is supplying PA and music support for a 20 piece big band or a Trio Rockabilly Band or simply making sure your dance floor is full flying solo, he’s the consummate professional and all round nice guy who just loves what he does!
Ray is the one to put time, effort, passion and commitment into each and every event, he tailors the set lists, the feel and the excitement of the music to suit the occasion, not a just a one size fits all guy…Ray’s goal is to have everyone up dancing,… It’s a party after all?
Covering Genres from the 1920’s to the 1970’s, with a heavy focus on The best of the 40’s & 50’s & 60’s sounds. From Swing to Blues to Rockabilly and everything in between he’s got a vintage and Retro Twist and always knows the songs to get people happy!
He’s a professional in every way with a stand out Dj Rig “The Bowzer” that will be a center piece and topic of discussion throughout the event.
Ray is also a Swing dancer and teach and can offer demonstrations or group classes (with his dance partner) at your event as well for added layers of awesome.

Our Swing On In Dancers celebrate the best that the Swing Era had to offer to help inspire a new generation of swing dancers. Our entertainment troupe is a combination of the experience and passion of our world-class instructors. Our instructors are every bit as passionate about swing dancing as our students and together we love to bring exciting and entertaining performances to new audiences.
The Swing On In Dancers formed in 2015 by Chrissy and Ray Keepence from Swing On In. Our swing dance entertainment troupe has since become a highlight of the south-east Queensland swing scene. Our dance troupe have performed for the Queensland Bleach Festival’s inaugural Annual Dance Affair, the Ipswich Festival as well as private functions including vintage-themed weddings.
Our Dance Troupe is dedicated to engaging with local communities to help spread the fun that swing dancing offers!

If you’ve ever wanted to showcase your dancing as a public performance, you could be part of our entertainment troupe of swing dancers. Our entertainment troupe are a group of dancers from our dance school who work together to perform and showcase swing dancing at private and public events such as functions and festivals.
To be part of our entertainment troupe you’ll need to come along to our dance school swing classes where we conduct weekly training in a range of swing dance styles. Each of our swing dance nights also has couple of classes dedicated for social swing dancing that anyone is welcome to attend.
